MOD collection from the March 1995 What PC? CD

Welcome to this page. A long, long time ago (but remaining in this galaxy), a What PC? magazine had a cover CD on it, which contained (as one of the magazine's features) a large collection of MODs on it. It also included three players, UltiMOD v3.0 by Thomas W. Olsen (screenshot), Inertia Player, and ModPlay. It also included a program to convert STM modules to MODs.

These MOD files were what introduced me to tracking, and I decided that it would be cool to see if I could find the MODs again. However, I didn't have the CD any more, their back-issue department couldn't help (I couldn't remember the date of the issue), and a Google search didn't turn anything up.

So, I took on the task of finding these MODs and posting them here. I didn't have the benefit of a file listing to help me - it was just my own memory. I managed to find a number of the MODs, and eventually a kind soul named Giles stepped in and offered me the entire collection - he had saved the MODs from the CD. I was overjoyed at this, put up a notice on the page to say that I had the entire collection and would put it on this page soon, then promptly forgot about it for about 2-3 months. *sigh*

Shortly after Hugi #28 was released (in which this page was mentioned), I received an email wondering what the status of this page was, thus reminding me of it. I replied saying I would do it the following weekend, and once again forgot about it. Finally, after a few weeks, I remembered about it again, and decided not to procrastinate any longer. So this page now hosts the complete MOD collection I talk about above. :D

Note that although I am listing and hosting these MODs here, it doesn't necessarily mean I like all of them. In fact, some of them aren't that great. But I'm trying to do myself and others a service here, m'kay?

Here are the MODs that were on the CD. Note that the original filenames were in uppercase, but I bulk-renamed them to a lower-case version. Other than that, they're the same as they were on the CD.
